Despite the writer's strike, the late night talk shows are back on the air. I caught a Late Night with Conan O'Brien last week and as they were getting ready to cut to a commercial, they announced that the guest tonight would be Ice Cube, and then they went to a Vaseline commercial.
Strange coincidence, or clever advertising?

Whenever I am in a pinch for something to post, I turn to my inbox, where I can usually find something cool from
Ash, who is very good at keeping me up-to-date with what's happening on our planet. Heck, I should just let him update this site for me, unless he's already keeping busy providing
this site with info on all things cool.
Case in point, yesterday Ash alerted me to
Weird Al's new album, "
Straight Outta Lynwood", which is set to be released on September 26th, 2006.

Weird Al's new album due out September 26th
Ash sent a
link to Al's new video for "
White and Nerdy", a parody of Chamillionaire's
Ridin'. I've watched it like
10 times already (I especially liked the reference to the
Star Wars Kid). Donna claims I like it because I can relate to the lyrics. I think she is mistaken. I am not a nerd.
I'm just German.
Weird Al even pimped his myspace page to look like Chamillionaire's myspace page (I would provide links, but I have a strict rule about linking to the freak show section of cyberspace, known as myspace). You can probably find your way there,
if you really wanted to, by typing the letters
http, followed by a colon, two forward slashes, the letter
w three times, a period, the word
myspace, another period, the extension
com, another forward slash, and finally, either the words
weirdal, or
chamillionaire.
I hope the album is released on iTunes with all the extras that supposedly come with it if one were to buy a hard copy.
That's all I have for today. I'll check my email later to see if I have any additional material to post.

Yay! Yet another edition of Stuff From My Inbox®
Believe it or not, I am working my way up to stuff I received around a year ago! Now that's what I call progress.
A while back, an Excel spreadsheet landed in my inbox. The spreadsheet contained images taken from movies, except the character's faces were removed. The object was to guess the title of the movie, sans movie star. Here are some examples:
Spelling counts as well.
Pretty niftly little game, if you're a movie buff, such as the
self-proclaimed DVD-Whore,
RAD from
radhole.com. If you want to take a stab at the game, you can download the
zipped .XLS* file
here. If you find it addicting, you can download more sheets
here.
I rarely have the time to sit idle and take in an entire movie. Most of my movie knowledge comes in the dose of 30 second clips from those crazy
re-enactment bunnies, or two wacky old-ass codgers sitting in a balcony.
I am, of course, talking about my two most favorite-est movie reviewers,
Statler and Waldorf. You know who they are. They are the nutty old dudes from the Muppet Show. They have their very own online show,
Statler and Waldorf: From the Balcony, where they review upcoming movies,
so I know which ones not to see.
I am outta heah. Enjoy the game!

You do not need Microsoft Excel to open the download. OpenOffice, the free office-suite, is available for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and Macintosh.
